The British Are Coming... Home

Two of the top BMX riders in the world will battle it out on their home turf in the UK

Jamie Bestwick and Simon Tabron have been competing against one another since the 1980's. This friendly rivalry has spanned the globe and brought the two to a unique moment in their competitive histories.

Coming into the LG Action Sports World Tour event in Birmingham, England, both Bestwick and Tabron have won major events this year, each taking the top spot at the first two Dew Tour events of the year and with Tabron coming off a fresh win at the LG Action Sports World Tour stop in Amsterdam.  Jamie Bestwick is the reigning 2005 LG Action Sports World Champion, having claimed that title at the Championships in Manchester, England in October.

Tabron is riding better than ever as reflected in his high contest finishes so far this season . Bestwick, on the other hand, has been plagued by neck and back injuries so far this season and has yet to feel 100%.

So who will be crowned the King of British BMX?  Will it be the master of the 900, Simon Tabron or the incumbent world champion, Jamie Bestwick.

One thing is for sure, the volume level in Birmingham will be deafening as these two countrymen square off on their home turf.
