National Touring Bands Provide Musical Backdrop and Adrenaline Boost for Action Sports World Tour

MxPx and The Donna's will play at the at historic Belmont Park in Mission Beach, CA

The Action Sports World Tour returns to San Diego September 14-16, at historic Belmont Park in Mission Beach, Calif. In addition to featuring the top athletes in action sports competing for cash and prizes, Action Sports World Tour events are known for providing heavy-hitting concerts each day from national recording artists. This year's San Diego tour stop will be no exception as renowned punk rockers MxPx and all-female rockers The Donnas will headline the event that weekend.

On September 15th, three-piece punk rock band MxPx will light up the stage for the first day of the event. The band will be fresh off this years' Warped Tour and bring more than 10 years of success under their belt in the music industry.

On September 16th, just days before the release of their new album Bitchin', The Donnas will take the stage at the "S3 Supergirl Jam", an event created by Warner Bros. Consumer Products and ASA to celebrate the strength and leadership embodied by today's action sports girl. The Donnas are sure to crank out their characteristic signature girl-power lyrics and excite the crowd. Over the course of the last 14 years, these hard-rock goddesses have six critically acclaimed albums and an ever-expanding, international fan base of "Donnaholics". Opening for The Donnas is the fierce, urban-flavored pop duo, Jupiter Rising.

"The music of MxPx resonates with high-energy actions sports fans across the country and will be a great addition to the atmosphere and vibe of ASA's Action Sports World Tour events," said Rick Bratman, President of ASA. "The Donnas' appearance on Sunday fits perfectly into the "S3 Supergirl Jam" girl-empowerment theme. This event will truly embody our continued commitment with providing fans with the complete experience, from the top athletes and competition, to the hottest new artists like these exciting bands."

The 2007 Action Sports World Tour is the only global competition circuit in action sports. It features approximately 200 of the world's top athletes competing in professional skateboarding, BMX, inline skating and Freestyle Motocross (FMX) events.

In addition to world-class professional competitions, each of the events also includes live concerts from nationally-renowned recording artists, freestyle motocross exhibitions, athlete autograph sessions, video games, graffiti artists, DJ's and other festival-oriented elements synonymous with the action sports lifestyle.

While one-off corporate-driven action sports events and tours have come and gone over the past 14 years, ASA has consistently provided a competitive framework for the action sports universe. The organization and its annual events have been at the heart of the industry since 1994.

Entrance to the ASWT, including the concerts and competitions, is free of charge. The event will be televised nationally on CBS as well as on Versus and Fuel TV in the U.S. as part of a platform that reaches more than one billion households globally.
