BMX Big-Air Triples hits
the Orange County Fair July 29-31.

Action Sports World Tour Adds Thrills to the 2008 Fair Line-up.
The 2008 Orange County Fair is in for some of the world's best BMX action, as ASA Entertainment's BMX Big-Air Triples comes to Costa Mesa, CA, from July 29-31. As part of the Action Sports World Tour, the world's top BMX jumpers will compete on a wooden course modeled after a traditional dirt jumping competition. A huge roll-in, followed by two large jumps ending with a quarterpipe make up the BMX Big-Air Triples course, which has been called "dirt jumping without all the dirt."

ASA Entertainment's BMX Big-Air Triples event got its start in 2007 at the Phoenix stop of the Action Sports World Tour. A packed Jobing.com Arena witnessed top BMX riders like Anthony Napolitan, Ryan Guettler, Steve McCann slug it out on the Triples course. In the end it was a relative newcomer - San Diego's own Dennis Enarson - who stole the show with big tricks like triple tailwhips, and even a triple tailwhip 360, taking home the victory. The event was something new for the riders and the crowd. A hybrid between a dirt jumping competition and a park competion, BMX Big-Air Triples brought something different to BMX. "It was so new and so fun, I think we all had a good time. There wasn't really any pressure" said Enarson of the new format.

"We're excited to bring the Big-Air BMX Triples event to the OC Fair this year. This creative new event concept was introduced to the industry last year and has been wildly popular ever since," said Rick Bratman, CEO of ASA Entertainment. "ASA Entertainment wants to keep pushing the envelope in action sports, bringing fans not only the best events in the industry, but also challenging our athletes to test the limits of their creativity and progression. Southern California fans are the ultimate aficionados of action sports entertainment and will enjoy this show for all its high-octane thrills and spills."

The format is simple. On Tuesday, July 29th, 16 of the world's best BMX riders will compete to determine the top eight men of the night. The same format will take place on Wednesday night with 16 new competitors. On Thursday the top eight men from each night will compete in a head-to-head battle for the event title. The winner will also qualify for ASA's LG Action Sports World Championships taking place from November 7-9 later this year. The action begins at 8:15pm each night (July 29-31). Grab some cotton candy and funnel cakes and make your way over to the action. You won't want to miss it.

General admission seats for the Big-Air BMX Triples event are free to all OC Fair attendees and reserved seats also are available now for only $12.50 (includes Fair admission) via all Ticketmaster outlets and ticketmaster.com.
