LOS ANGELES (March 26, 2009) -The FMX Team Energy Cup debuts at Harrah’s Rincon Casino & Resort
on April 17-19, bringing Southern California its first ever Freestyle Motocross
(FMX) team competition. During the weekend, some of the world’s
top motorcycle aerialists, including Adam Jones (Warrendale, PA), Mike Mason
(Minden, Nevada), and Jeff “Ox” Kargola (San Clemente, CA), will
flip and whip their way through three contests – Best Trick, Best Whip
and Best Run – racking up points for their squad toward the title of
Best FMX Team.
A special performance by D.J. Paul Oakenfold, with special guests: Liquid
Todd and Kenneth Thomas, launching the International Perfecto Tour opens the
weekend’s
festivities on Friday night. Fans can then enjoy fierce freestyle motocross
action on Saturday afternoon with the FMX Prelims, starting at 3:00 p.m. then
enjoy a little dinner, music, pool parties and other VIP activities later that
evening. On Sunday at 1:00 p.m., the FMX Team Energy Cup Finals takes
place, naming the event’s top team, followed by a reggae pool party to
round out the weekend.
