MegaRamp ASA Triples Announces Superstar Line-up for Augusta, GA Event
X Games Skateboard and BMX Stars debut at James Brown Arena on June 19!
LOS ANGELES (June 10, 2010) On June 19, some of action sports most exciting skateboard and BMX athletes of X Games fame will converge on James Brown Arena for the first time ever for the MegaRamp ASA Triples produced by ASA Entertainment. During two shows - 3:00 and 7:30 p.m. - these elite pros will be pitted against their equally talented rivals in a competition sure to be filled with mind-boggling stunts, heart-stopping excitement and intense competition.
The skateboard contest features the most decorated X Games medalist in history, Andy MacDonald (Boston, Mass.), who has won 19 X Games medals in his career. He's a skateboard world champion whose versatile style and incredible experience help him excel in street skating, skateparks, vert, pools and mini-ramps. MacDonald will be joined by hometown favorite Benji Galloway, who is also an all-terrain pro, competing internationally and making a name for himself on the underground circuit.
Veteran Brian Patch (Bloomington, Ind.), who in 2001 set a Guinness Book of World Records record for the longest air on a skateboard at 58-ft, and young gun Adam Taylor (Cocoa Beach, Florida), the youngest big air skater on the circuit today, will also be on hand, ready for the challenges of the Triples course and their opponents' skill in this Best Run competition.
On the BMX scene during the 3:00 performance, 24 athletes will vie for a spot in Saturday night's 12-man Finals and the chance to be the Finals' number one seed. Competing in the head-to-head, one run, single elimination contest will be:

The MegaRamp ASA Triples challenges all of the athletes' skills over a completely unique 180 ft. long wooden course. Momentum from the 25 ft. tall roll-in ramp propels them over two 25 ft. wide jumps and a massive course-ending quarter-pipe. The riders attack the course, throwing down three back-to-back tricks in quick succession, displaying the technique, control, daring and style that make them the sports' best. These athletes regularly push the sports' boundaries as well as their own limits, surprising fans with unimaginable aerial stunts.
The battle begins on Saturday, June 19, at 3:00 p.m. and resumes at 7:30 p.m. with the Finals.
